DAY 2
I started out in Tucsan, AZ and made my way to the small town of Artesia, NM. I first stopped and walked around the Collasal Cave Mountain AZ State Park. It was a great way to see the vast landscape of Arizona. I discovered after talking to a friend that the White Sands National Monument was right on my way so I had to make a stop!!
ARIZONA!
First I made a stop at the Collosal Cave Mountain State Park. I got to appreciate the different dessert views and plant life. The Cacti here are huge!! This park is a great way to see Arizona.

NEW MEXICO!
The best thing about my day was getting to see the White Sands National Monument. A marvel of God is to have a 20 miles stretch of white sand dunes here. The sand was soft. The weather was about 40 deg with high wind. It felt like winter!! This experience was certainly worth the extra drive!

As the sunsets today I can say it’s been a good journey. I am appreciating this drive. I am discovering so much of America that I thought I would never see.

FOODIE HIGHLIGHT!
While in New Mexico I stopped for dinner at Adobe Rose in Artesia, NM. I had the Shrip and Grits with a Green Chili Sauce. Chili Peppers are a staple her in New Mexico. The traditional dish in Green Enchaladas but I’m not a fan this I chose the grits.
Stay Salty!
