DAY 1
I’ve just begun an amazing journey across the United States!! This is my trip mapped out as I make my way from San Diego to my hometown Pennsylvania. I’ve given myself a healthy 2 week time but I hope it won’t take me quite that long. My first day went from San Diego to Tuscan with the Joshua Tree and Pheonix as stops in between.

CALFORNIA!
In the morning I made my way across California. Made a stop at the Julian Pie Company! It was delicious. Then had a nice country drive to the Joshua Tree National Park. I got to drive through two state parks by surprise.
Then I made it to the Joshua Tree! This is a destination highly talked about by San Diegans as a must see!! It is alot of nice hiking land with a view. Compared to other National and State Parks it wasnt my favorite, but I’m glad I got to see the Park.

ARIZONA!
I didnt have too many stops as I continued on to Tucsan. But I did take selfies!! I even got to see the Arizona State Capital building. Seeing it lit up at night with no one around is peaceful and gorgeous. I was surprised I could drive my car and walk right up to the building. There are a few monuments and a replica of the Liberty bell given to the State in 1912 as a gesture for becoming a state. A cool fact, as I stood and watched for a few min I noticed the white angle that stands on top of the building is actually a wind vane.

FOODIE HIGHLIGHT!!
In the morning I made a stop to Julian, CA to the Julian Pie Company! Gosh was their pie delicious!! Made for a great breakfast to start my drive. Who doesn’t love pie!!? Apple pie is my favorite and best of all they had crumb topping!
Stay Saltly!
